Refugee Sea Rescue and Almost Invisible Angels
(Content Warning: Please note that this podcast contains upsetting information about rescues at sea)
Producer and Presenter: Penny Southgate
Brendan Woodhouse is a firefighter. In his spare time he volunteers with the charity Sea-Watch, which rescues refugees and asylum seekers at sea in the Mediterranean. Here he gives us a fierce and passionate testimony about his experiences, and his views on how these people (who Sea-Watch call 'guests') are treated by the West.
Plus the artist and activist Gaby Solly on the latest Paint the Land project by XR's Writer's Rebel, called Almost Invisible Angels. It is a beautiful film, and a wake-up call.
